1. Philanthropists in Action: I learned about Eliza Skidmore's dream to plant Cherry Trees in Washington, D.C. It took her a long time, but we are now having the 100 year celebration. I also drew a picture of my dream. This is my dream:

3. Cultural Connections: Eat Sushi and learn Japanese letters for Sakura (the Japanese word for Cherry Blossom). Here they are:
4. Spring Into Art: Write a Haiku about the beauty of the cherry tree and draw a picture.
5. Discover your Environment: Learn about photosynthesis and plant seeds to watch grow. I planted watermelon seeds
6. History Activities: Changes in girl scouts since mommy was a girl scout and geocaching with my troop where we hid a new geocache with seeds in it.
