Tims Ford Vacation
Up next, we went to our cabin at (Tim’s Ford State Park). We checked in. We lived in number 3. The first thing that we did is unpack and then ate. The next day, we went to Savage Falls where we went on a hike. It was fun. I got to go across the bridge at Savage Falls. It was very much fun. I got in the waterfall. It was cold at first, but then I got used to it. After that, I got discouraged because I fell on a rock. It hurt, but Poppa helped me up and I kept on swimming. The water felt good on my boo-boo. Poppa stood under the waterfall.
On Wednesday, we woke up and went to the market (Swiss Market-Mennonite Grocery). It was cool. We bought gummy bears, a gummy hot dog, and cheese. (whispering) Mom, we forgot to buy the honeycomb for Poppa. That same day, we went to Jack Daniel. It was fun but smelly. I didn’t like the smell. Jack Daniel got mad and kicked his safe thing because he couldn’t open. He couldn’t remember the code. So he kicked it with his foot. His toe broke, and they had to cut it off. Then he lost his foot. Then his ankle. Then all of his leg. They gave him a metal leg and that’s what we remember. It was very fun. Doc and KK came to stay at the cabin with us. It was nice to see them.
The next day, KK, Mommy, and me went to Weaver’s Point on my bike. It was very pretty. I threw sticks out into the lake. Then we kept on going and came back. When we came back, I was tired out, but I still had enough energy to swim. The pool was fun. I jumped off the diving board into 12 feet. The pool was huge. That night I went fishing with Poppa and Doc. I caught lots of fish in the evening and I even got to eat a moon pie while I was in the boat. We got splashed by a wave. It was cool!
The fifth day, we woke up and Sam and Noah came! We had an evening bike ride. Sam and I rode way ahead a lot. Mommy ran to keep up with us. It was very fun. Also that day we got to go swimming with Sam and Noah. Sam and I jumped off the diving board. Noah couldn’t jump off the diving board because he was wearing his floaties and floaties can’t be worn on the diving board. Sam and I jumped a few times and then went to play with Noah. We also played on the playground. It was fun.
The next day, Sam, Noah, and I were going to the pool, and we had a storm. A bad storm. Sticks fell. The leaves from the trees were all falling down. We lost air (power). We almost had to leave the cabin, but while we went for a bike ride, the air came back on. On the bike ride, Sam and I were very ahead again. Mommy drove the car over to the bike trail where we were waiting for her so that we could ride the rest of the way to the cabin. When we got back, Sam and I split a bagel. Noah got back (from his bike ride),and we played. We went on an environmental hike where we picked up trash. We found a lot of trash!
The next day was the last day, and it was sad. We got all packed up and cleaned up the cabin nice and neat. I was very sad to leave. We got to let out the worms and crickets (that we had been using as bait). We picked them up and looked at them and played with them. It was fun, fun, fun!
My favorite thing about vacation was seeing Sam and Noah and helping the world be a better place by picking up the trash. That helps the deer and I saw lots of deer. I even saw a pregnant deer. I also saw a fox and a bunny. They were very pretty. There were lots of woodchucks.

George Washington's Cows
The book that you wrote is really exciting. The book that I am talking about it George Washington's cows. It deserves a medal for the description and using lots of expression and detail. Your pictures really look like real cows.
Keep writing,

Cloudy and the Chance of Pies
Cloudy and the Chance of Pies
Written and Illustrated by: Kathryn
On Monday for lunch and supper, we had our Mama’s famous fudge chocolate pie. It fell down on all of these days: on Tuesday and on Wednesday and on Thursday and on Friday and on Saturday and on Sunday!
“Really? Did that really happen?” asked Isabella.
“Yes. Yes,” said Kaitlin.
“Wow! That is amazing. Are you impressed?” asked Isabella.
“Yes. Yes, I am. I am” said Kaitlin. “I am impressed.”
“Hey!”
“What?”
“Hey, look up the pies are falling down,” said Isabella.
“Bring out the plates,” said Kaitlin.
“Hey, I caught one.”
“Let me see. Mm… I can’t wait until I catch one,” said Kaitlin. “Hey, I caught one too. Hooray.”
“Mm,” Kaitlin and Isabella said together. “Ooh. Ah. Mm. This is good, but I got to get home.”
Kaitlin said, “Ok. I know. I will see you tomorrow. Let’s do our handshake.” They clapped, wiggled their hands, shook their heads, wiggled their necks, and danced by holding hands and spinning at the same time.
“Ok!”
“Let’s go home,” said Kaitlin.
“I am having fun! I don’t want to go home. Let’s catch just one more pie.”
“Let’s go play just a minute.”
“OH, BOY!” shouted Isabella.
“What, honey?” asked Dad?
“Hey. What? What are you doing?” Isabella asked Kaitlin. The girls ran to their bikes and rode to their friend, Billy’s, house. They shared the chocolate fudge pie and made loud music.
The girls went home and made more loud music because they had more instruments like drums and other loud instruments. The pie made them hyper because they caught the perfect pie that had the energy in it. Isabella said, “I love playing instruments.”
“Stop making that noise, girls and boy” said mom.
“Sorry. We were too loud, “said Kaitlin and Isabella, who were sisters.
“It’s ok.”
The girls stopped playing the instruments and ate more pie. Yum!
The End

Snow Experiment #1
Outside temperature 30 degrees. Inside temperature 62 degrees. 30% humidity.
9:37 am I brought the snow in from outside. The cups were packed.
9:47 am The little one is melting. It has more drops in it. The big one is melting a little.
9:57 am The little one is really melting.
10:07am The little one is turning into ice as it heats up and melts. The big one still weighs more.
10:17am The smaller one is almost completely melted. The big one is not ahead of the little one so my hypothesis, I think, is going to be right.
10:27am The little one is mostly water.
10:37am The little one is almost all water. I poured the water out. The big one is half way snow.
10:47am The little one is all water. The little one melted faster. I was right.
