KB's class sang this song in Spanish.

This Christmas I want to be a little Christmas Tree
To tell everybody about Jesus Christ
With the ornaments and my lights
Show the love of Jesus Christ.

Color Poetry in the Car

We listened to Horrible Harry and the Dead Letters on the way to school over the last 2 days. IN the book the characters write their very own poetry. The last chapter is nothing but poems that students wrote about colors. KB wanted to give it a try!

If You Want to Find White...

If you want to find white
look at plain paper
look at the fog
look at Santa's beard
look at Neena's hair
look at a skinned, scarred knee
look at the snow and
if you want to find white
look at the tissues.

If You Want to Find Brown...

If you want to find brown,
go outside after it rains
be barefoot
step in the mud and
let the piggies soak in

If you want to find brown,
go look at a building and
its hard bricks that hold
the building together

If you want to find brown,
look at Charlie's hair,
eyebrows, and eyes.
He is a soft, brown dog.

All Bundled Up! (Song from KB's Christmas Program)

My mother's got me all bundled up.
From my head to my toes, nothing shows but my nose,
My mother's got me all bundled up.

When I step outside, there is no doubt I won't freeze like the rest.
'Cause underneath my jacket, I've two sweaters and a vest.

My mother's got me all bundled up.
From my head to my toes, nothing shows but my nose,
My mother's got me all bundled up.

If I fall down I'm so afraid that I will not arise.
I'll lie there like a pile of clothes with icicles in my eyes.

My mother's got me all bundled up.
From my head to my toes, nothing shows but my nose,
My mother's got me all bundled up.

I know she wants to keep me safe, to keep the cold away.
But if I take too long to dress, there's no time left to play.

My mother's got me all bundled up.
From my head to my toes, nothing shows but my nose,
My mother's got me all bundled up.

Angels = Stars?

I think that the stars are angels. The song says that "the stars in the sky look down where He lay." So, the angels must have been watching Jesus sleep.

"Mom, I wish that my heart was bigger so that I can love you more!"

Magic Pasta Pot

I liked the Magic Pasta Pot. If I had that Magic Pasta Pot, I wouldn't have to cook the dinner for my family. The house was overflowing with noodles. It was a fun book.

Christmas Tree Farm

I went to a Christmas tree farm and saw lots of wild animals and cute ones. There were rabbits and goats and chickens and roosters and some pretty birds. I pet the rabbits and fed the goats. I fed them grass. I fed the rabbits some long stringy carrots that were pulled out of a garden.
